Rant: Freedom!

Yes, I'm feeling excellent, because I've finished my A level exams! This is the most fantastic thing... lol! Well, I'm having a party tomorrow, its going to be muchos fun. And I have 12 weeks off this summer doing nothing (except working on Sundays) so I'm going to be doing a lot. Hmm, I just contradicted myself didn't I? Well, you know what I mean! I've still got my C2 car in progress... and also I plan to learn Perl and write myself a decent counter script for the site... I've also got to learn 3dsmax, so I'll be using BeMax to make some C2 cars... see what that turns out like. Well, we have to progress! Also, I plan to write a good few more tutorials for the site, on various things of use. I want to get the C2 tutorials on TSS up to scratch, basically covering everything you need to know for C2. I'm also working on a new design template for TSS... toying with some ideas, but I'm not sure whether to change it at all. I do like the current template... but if the new one looks better, then I shall use that instead! Well, although this is the rants section, I feel I've been ranting long enough, so lets get this posted... LJ

Not dead, just sleeping

Hello. Yes, it's me, the one who never posts. Well, things are happening. I've got a couple of cars that are almost ready for release, and, more importantly, GTA: Vegas is just around the corner. Community news

I don't do this one very often, but here it is in all its, er, glory. Firstly, a big up to Puma for getting his own domain... check it out at www.pumay2k.net, I'm sure he'll appreciate the extra traffic (unless he's paying extra for the extra traffic!) Puma's in the process of modelling a new car, so watch the progress. It was AdR's birthday a while back, happy birthday to him! Sorry we missed it dude, but we just sail along merrily in a world of our own here at TSS . Crashocalypse... well, Carmakaze is supposedly going to making a huge update. Check it out and see what you make of that. Savage Elve has written a very nice Plaything2 tutorial, definitely worth checking out. Last but not nearly least, is the competition that Planet Maim have set up. You can win yourself a nice shiny GeForce2, and all you need to do is make a skin! Finally, in the words on Danz, the reason that we all "havent been updating ... is due to several factors like school, jobs, real cars, and more school." I'd like to add laziness to that, oh and exams. You can be sure to see more updates this summer, at least from TSS. That's it for the community stuff!

3000 mark passed on the counter... I'm not really sure what to make of that, but it's only been running since March so that seems quite good. It is for me anyway. Well, I've got exams soon, so doing revision for them. We'll see how it goes... later, LJ

Well, I decided to go ahead with setting up the forums, so they'll be ready in a day or two (the delay has a very good reason). Anyway, look out for an announcement here of their opening. And I'll call Dark Angel from Planet Maim over to do the unveiling (for another very good reason). Well, watch this space, and be sure to register early!

Recent happenings?

No, there aren't really any happenings... I've been spending a lot of my 'net time' over at gta3forums.com, keeping myself up to date with developments there, so nothing much on carma... my project is still going (and no I'm still not letting on). Of course, I've got my A level exams very soon, they start on June 17th (wish me luck!) so I'm supposed to be working for them. Ah well... hehe. Well, I guess that's it for now... I'm thinking of setting up a forums here soon, tell me what you think of that.

GTA3

Well, I made myself a GTA3 car skin today... not the best of skins but it looks alright so far, considering most of the car is not textured, just coloured (and I'm desperately searching for ways to change that). I'm not going to release the skin for now, as I've got no way of making an installation file. What we need is the GTA3 version of Carstockalypse to add all the data to the various places... that's all from me for now then. LJ
